Police have found a body as part of a massive search operation to find two missing women in Moray.
The body was discovered close to the Bridge of Sourden in Speyside.
The body has yet to be formally identified.
Police are searching the area for missing women Kathleen Edward, 85, from Aberlour, and Rosemary Laing, 77, from Rothes.
Search teams, including police divers, coastguards, rescue dogs and helicopters have been scouring the area for any signs of the missing women.
A police spokeswoman said: “As part of efforts to trace missing persons Kathleen Edward, 85, from Aberlour, and Rosemary Laing, 77, from Rothes, Police can confirm that a body has been found near to the Bridge of Sourden.
“The body is still to be formally identified, but the families of both Kathleen Edward and Rosemary Laing has been made aware.”
