Police have named the 16-year-old cyclist killed yesterday in a collision on a north-east road.
Keiran McKandie, from the Elgin area, was travelling on the  B9010 Kellas to Dallas road near Craigend shortly before 11am when he was involved in a collision with a white Volkswagen Golf car.
Inspector Jon Barron of the Divisional Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts at this extremely sad time are with all those who have been left devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of Keiran, particularly his family and friends. I would also like to thank those who rendered assistance at the scene.
“Enquiries are still ongoing into the circumstances. I would urge anyone who may have information that would assist, and who hasn’t yet come forward, to do so as soon as possible.”
