VIDEO: Terrifying moment driver almost causes serious smash as he overtakes on A96 bend

A dash-cam has captured the terrifying moment a car sped round the outside of a corner into oncoming traffic.

The video shows a car approaching the blind bend on the A96 between Elgin and Forres before a driver overtakes.

A car travelling in the opposite direction was forced to move to the left side of the carriageway to avoid a collision.

The driver in the overtaking vehicle pulled in narrowly before the oncoming vehicle with two other cars following closely behind.

Fortunately all the vehicles were unscathed following the risky manoeuvre.
