The picturesque beauty of Cluny Hill is set to be highlighted in a spectacular light and sound show.
Forres Features Community Interested Company is staging a display that will light up the night sky in November.
Thousands of visitors are expected to flock to the area to attend the event at the hill south of Forres, which will be the first of its kind in Moray.
Kate Bonney, creative director of Colours of Cluny, said: “Plans are now well underway to create what we believe will be something truly spectacular that will show off the natural beauty of the area.
“We expect it will be a spectacle that will prove to be a must-see, both for the local community and visitors, whom we hope will venture to northern Scotland to marvel at the skies light up around Cluny Hill.”
The event is being put together by the organisation behind The Enchanted Forest in Pitlochry, an event which sees trees lit up in a kaleidoscope of colours at night.
Graham Murdoch, chairman of Forres Features Community Interest Company, said: “We’re truly excited about the potential for this event and the region.
“I can’t wait to see it come to fruition and would urge everyone to book early as we expect demand to be strong.”
Tickets for the event will go on sale at 10am on Friday, June 24 at www.coloursofcluny.com.
