A 55-year-old motorcyclist from Moray was seriously injured in a crash last night.
Police confirmed that just before 6pm last night, two vehicles collided on the A711 Dumfries – Dalbeattie road near to Netherfield Farm, west of Beeswing, five miles from Dumfries.
The accident involved a motorcycle and tractor and trailer loaded with silage.
A Suzuki GSX650 motorcycle was being driven by a 55-year-old man from Elgin who was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with internal injuries and a fractured arm.
The 29-year-old male tractor driver from Lochanhead was not injured in the crash.
A Police Scotland spokesman said they were keen to hear from anyone who may have been on the road at this time to get in touch if they witnessed the crash or indeed either vehicle just prior to the crash. Witnesses can call Police Scotland at Dumfries on 101.
