The cream of Moray cuisine will be scattered throughout the globe in hampers being prepared for an annual music celebration.
All 127 pipe bands competing at Piping at Forres on June 24, will be given a basket packed with the very best that the region has to offer.
School groups from Australia will take the produce home with them as well as representatives from Denmark, the Netherlands and Ireland.
Joanna Taylor, a director at organisers Forres Events, said: “This is a wonderful way of supporting the pipe bands who make a considerable effort to be here and showcasing the great produce we have here.”
Speyside whisky and cashmere have been packed into the hampers as well as oatcakes, oatmeal, shortbread and soup.
Organisers have put the gifts together as a reward for the hours of practice the bands have expended, in addition to the cost of travelling to Forres for the annual piping extravaganza.
Paul Bush, Visit Scotland’s director of events, said: “Scotland is known the world over for the quality of its food and drink, so it is terrific that all bands competing at Piping at Forres will leave with a wonderful hamper.”
Saturday is the last day to buy tickets for Piping at Forres at the reduced price of £11 for adults, £7 for children and £10 for senior citizens.
