Disabled children from across the north-east have battled their disabilities to experience the freedom of being in the air.
Moray Flying Club thrilled the 13 youngsters by taking them into the sky for flights in a light aircraft at Kinloss Barracks.
Local children were able to see their homes from a new perspective during the 20-minute journey while the RAF’s fire section entertained those on the ground.
During the flights the youngsters got a rare opportunity to see pilots at the controls of the aircraft while in the sky.
Nearly 100 children have now had exhilarating flying experiences with the event becoming more popular since it started seven years ago.
The trips were part of the Bader Braves flying day, which aims to boost the confidence of those with limb loss and other disabilities by giving them unique memories.
Moray Flying Club event coordinator George Mackenzie said: “We support the Bader Braves initiative because it gives children the opportunity to experience the thrill of flying despite any physical limitations they may have.
“This is the eighth year Moray has been involved in this scheme and we plan to have another event next year.
“Our club volunteers are always keen to help out on these days and the support from Kinloss Barracks personnel is much appreciated by the children and their families.”
