A group of Moray youngsters are getting the chance to sample the work which goes into making a music video.
Forres pop group Be Like Pablo have been running workshops in the town with Findhorn Bay Arts to offer budding musicians the skills to create their own films.
Later this summer, the youngsters will gain the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice while also starring in the band’s video for their new single.
Lead singer and songwriter Ewen Watson said: “It’s about showing them what goes into managing, organising and how you would make a music video.
“A lot of them have really good ideas and we can show them the best way for it as well as what’s possible and what’s not possible.
“Most of the band work in education, so we’re interested in showing what skills are needed, particularly in music and film making.”
During the sessions, Mr Watson has demonstrated the viability of shooting entire videos by using mobile phones.
Youngsters, aged between 12 and 19, who have been attending the workshops, will be given the chance to star in Be Like Pablo’s video, which is being produced in Forres later in the summer.
Courtney-Anne Reade, 17, has been going to the sessions and explained the music industry was not necessarily filled with glamour.
She said: “We have been looking at everything, behind the scenes, from casting to location while looking at what is easy and what is more difficult.”
