A woman who has been missing from her Moray home for more than three weeks has been traced.
Amanda Tomison was last seen at her Cullen flat at the start of the month, and her neighbours had been growing increasingly anxious about her welfare.
But police yesterday revealed the 47-year-old had been located “safe and well” in Glasgow.
It is believed that she was last at her home in the seaside village on Wednesday, July 6.
Her friends’ fears were compounded when it emerged that she had left her mobile phone in Fochabers the following week – but had not returned home despite being in relatively close proximity.
Earlier this week, officers released CCTV images of Mrs Tomison as efforts to find her stepped up a gear.
The images depicted her at Aberdeen railway station on Thursday, July 21, the same day upon which she is believed to have travelled to Glasgow.
Police said that Mrs Tomison is a keen countryside walker, who is known to embark on bus journeys across Scotland.
She is understood to have recently visited Orkney, Shetland, Gourock, Pitlochry and Aviemore.
A police spokeswoman added: “We can confirm that missing person Amanda Tomison, who had been reported missing from Cullen, has been traced safe and well in the Glasgow area.”
