Fire-raisers caused thousands of pounds worth of damage after targeting an 18th-century north-east manor.
Police are now seeking help finding the people behind the incident in the public toilet block of Duff House, Banff.
Officers estimate the damage to be a “low four figure sum” of money.
The fire at the Georgian home was started on Wednesday, February 18 at around 4.30pm.
A police spokesman said: “The area would have been busy with members of the public visiting the popular tourist attraction and anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious is urged to contact police.
“Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
