A 21-year-old who was killed in a horror crash on a Moray road has been named locally as Euan Slater.
Mr Slater was killed after being knocked from his 125cc motorcycle on the B9089 Burghead to Roseisle road on Friday night.
Emergency services were called to the scene, around half a mile north of the Roseisle Distillery, at around 7.30pm.
Police yesterday confirmed that a 21-year-old man died in the accident, which also involved a silver Vauxhall Astra.
It is believed that Mr Slater was returning to his home in Elgin at the time of the accident.
Sergeant Steve Milne, of the Road Policing Unit for the North-east, said: “First of all, I would say that our thoughts are with the friends and family of everyone involved with this tragic incident.
“I would appeal for anyone who was aware of a silver Vauxhall Astra or a 125cc motorcycle at about 7.30pm last night on the B9089 between Roseisle to Burghead road to contact the police on 101”
