A Fraserburgh woman is celebrating after securing a first class honours degree in accounting and finance from Robert Gordon University.
Netball player Grace Rennie said she “never expected to do as well as she did”, as she was one of a handful to finish fourth year with straight As.
The 21-year-old collected her degree at His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen yesterday.
Miss Rennie became vice-captain of the university’s third netball team and said the sport was a “massive” part of her time at university.
She said: “It was such a huge social group and I would never have known many of them if it hadn’t been for netball.
“The people I have met will make my lasting memory of the university – there’s not been a bad moment of my time there.”
After spending a year on placement with Johnston Carmichael, Miss Rennie was offered a job depending on her results and will start her graduate role with the firm next month.
She added: “My placement at was a brilliant experience, where I learned so much.
“I was able to integrate what I had learned at university into my work, as well as learning new skills.”
