A police helicopter has re-joined the search for missing Fraserburgh man Shaun Ritchie.
Shaun went missing almost seven months ago after a Halloween night out with friends, sparking a huge search operation.
The 20-year-old was last seen in the Strichen area, on October 31 last year. The search was scaled back in December, but has resumed since the weather improved and water levels decreased.
A police spokeswoman said: “We are periodically searching and the helicopter was up to help yesterday.
“Due to the better weather, the water levels are down so it is easier to see.”
Items of Shaun’s clothing were found during early stages of the inquiry but search teams have been unable to find anything since.
