Police are investigating a suspicious death in a north-east takeaway last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Mirchi Indian Takeaway in Mintlaw yesterday evening after a man collapsed following a disturbance.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman said: “At 5.35pm yesterday police and ambulance attended at a commercial premises in Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire, to a report of a man having collapsed following a disturbance.
“Sadly the man could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Police Scotland are treating the death as suspicious and have launched an enquiry into the circumstances.
“Inquiries are at an early stage and no details of deceased can be released until next of kin have been contacted.”
