These stunning images capture the moment a Trident submarine received a police escort as it travelled across a popular Scottish loch.
The Vanguard-class ballistic vessel was seen travelling on Loch Long today being overflown by police helicopters.
It featured as part of a day of exercises involving Royal Navy vessels including HMS Ramsey and HMS Cattistock.
The pictures were taken and posted online by handmade-jewellery company Argyll Sea Glass and later shared by NavyLookout, an independent campaign to promote the Royal Navy.
