Queues of motorists mounted as the A85 was closed this afternoon between the A828 at Connel and the B8077 at Dalmally. It is understood water flowing off the nearby hillside exacerbated issues with standing water on the route during heavy rains throughout Saturday. There is a diversion in place via the A816 and A83 at Lochgilphead and Inverary. The road has now re-opened.
