The incident happened on A9 near Killiecrankie at around 4pm this afternoon. A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said the road, the main arterial route to the north of Scotland, was closed in both directions. The crash is understood to have taken place on the northbound carriageway. Eye witnesses said that there was a heavy emergency services presence in the area. Police and ambulance crews were in attendance.
