Police have found a body whilst searching the River Tay for 15-year-old Kathleen Harkin.
The family of the teenager have been informed of the find.
Kathleen Harkin, 15, was last seen on the banks of the River Tay near Woody Island in the North Muirton area at around 9.30pm on Saturday.
Her mobile phone was handed in to police by a member of the public who found it in the area, and officers said they were “extremely concerned” for her welfare.
She is described as approximately 5ft and of medium build with long dark hair. She was wearing black ripped jeans, a black bomber-style jacket and black Nike trainers.
Specialist units including the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, a dive and marine unit and a police helicopter were deployed to search the area of Woody Island and along the river from Scone Palace to the bridges in Perth city centre.
Kathleen attends Perth Grammar School and support to fellow pupils is being provided by education and children’s services.
