A male pedestrian has died after being hit by a lorry on the A90.
Emergency services attended the scene near to Petterden, at around 3pm.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Tragically, the pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. Â Next of kin have been informed. His details will not be released until he has been formally identified.”
The northbound carriageway remains closed to allow officers to work at the scene and inquiries will be carried out into the full circumstances of the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer.
Motorists are advised to take an alternative route.
