A pensioner has been found dead outside her Glasgow home.
The woman’s body was discovered on Sunday morning outside her house in Glencairn Drive, Pollockshields, when temperatures had plummeted to below freezing.
Police are now investigating the circumstances of her death and a post-mortem will be carried out.
A police spokesman said they were not treating the death as suspicious and a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
The pensioner’s death comes just days after a couple were found outside their home in the Western isles.
Donald and Maureen Macmillan died in freezing conditions outside their home in Lewis.
A police source said: “An inquiry into the death is ongoing and a post-mortem will be submitted to procurator fiscal in due course.”
Police have also confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
