The body of Rebecca Johnson, 26, from Fife, was discovered by police in the Finnish village of Kuttanen on Saturday. Rebecca’s 36-year-old boyfriend was arrested on suspicion of killing the 26-year-old after a police manhunt in sub-zero conditions. Police helicopters and huskies tracked the man after he fled into the freezing wilderness, where he was found suffering from hypothermia. Last night, Rebecca’s great-aunt Val Laing said she would be greatly missed. She told the Courier: “Rebecca was a beautiful girl. “I had come home from Edinburgh when her grandad was on the phone to tell me what had happened. I couldn’t take it in at first. “For her parents and grandparents to lose her just before Christmas is devastating. “I’ll be there for them, but I don’t know how they are going to cope.”
