Four people have been taken to hospital with “traumatic injuries” after a head-on collision on the A9.
The Stirling to Larbert road was closed from Bannockburn towards Plean after ambulance crews came across the two-car head-on collision at about 2.10pm.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said three further ambulances were called to the scene as well as an ambulance incident officer.
Police and fire units were also in attendance.
The spokesman said four adults were taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert complaining of “traumatic injuries” including back and chest injuries.
Stirling Police tweeted at 2.35pm: “The A9 from Bannockburn towards Plean has just been closed due to a road traffic collision. Please avoid this area until further notice.”
