The mum of missing RAF serviceman Corrie McKeague says she is “just trying to keep it together” as police continue to trawl a landfill site for her son’s body.
Specialist teams are currently searching the site after it was revealed on Tuesday that a bin weighing 100kg was lifted from the area Corrie went missing.
This was originally filed incorrectly as 11kg – a weight which did not arise suspicion from investigators.
Responding to the oversight Nicola, 48, said: “It could be the most innocent of errors that has not only dragged a family through this but I’ve brought thousands of people into this and that’s a lot to handle.”
