Fire teams have been called to battle a large blaze at a former church in Dundee this evening. Four crews were called to the scene of the blaze at Lochlee Old Parish Church on Bright Street just after 9pm. Homes in the area have been evacuated, and it is understood that heat from the fire has caused windows to crack. The church was built in 1830, however it is currently vacant. Evacuated residents have been taken to the Sinclair Street sheltered housing complex.
