Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery of a Premier Store in Montrose on Saturday.
Two men entered the store on St. Peters Place and presented a weapon to the female shop assistant.
The alarm was quickly raised and the two men made off empty handed in the Christies Lane or India Street direction.
Police have descibed the first man as being five foot nine inches tall, wearing a grey hooded top with a dark scarf, gloves and dark jogging bottoms.
He was in possession of a black bin bag.
The second man is described as five foot nine inches tall, was wearing a blue hooded top with hood up and wearing gloves.
The shop assistant was shocked but unhurt.
