Two police officers have been taken to hospital after they were injured while responding to an incident.
A man is in police custody and has also been taken to hospital following the incident in Greenock, Inverclyde.
Police called at 0845 am today to incident in Gateside Gardens, Greenock. Two officers injured and taken to the IRH for treatment. No further detail on injury. Officers at the scene – enquiries continuing. A man is in custody and has been taken to hospital.

Officers were called to Gateside Gardens at around 8.45am on Friday.
The two injured officers were taken to the nearby Inverclyde Royal Infirmary.
Following this morning’s incident in Greenock this morning. The families of the two police officers who have been injured have been notified.

There was no information on the nature of their injuries.
Police said an investigation was under way and officers remain at the scene.
