The 34-year-old was allegedly struck by a silver Renault Clio in City Road, Brechin, near its junction with Damacre Road at 2.15am. He was taken to Ninewells Hospital with serious injuries. Officers have closed City Road while they carry out a full investigation. Anyone who witnessed the collision, saw the vehicle in Brechin or has any information or dash cam footage is urged to contact police on 101.
