Rewind Scotland is celebrating its 10th anniversary in style by announcing a stellar line-up for the summer gig at Perth’s Scone Palace.
Wet Wet Wet, Jimmy Somerville, Hue and Cry, Bananarama and Billy Ocean are among those taking to the stage at the event, which runs from Friday July 17 to Sunday July 19.
The festival will be opened by a unique show celebrating 50 years since the formation of one of the world’s greatest rock bands Queen.
Queen Symphonic features a full symphony orchestra, a fantastic rock band and four soloist’s from the international productions of the musical We Will Rock You performing some of Queen’s greatest hits including We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio Ga Ga, We Are The Champions, A Kind Of Magic and many more.
Saturday night will be taken over by the sounds of brass and strings with Jimmy Somerville’s Big Band-Tastic Boogie.
Special guest Sarah Jane Morris will also make an appearance, recreating their 1986 #1 single ‘Don’t Leave Me This Way’.
Wet Wet Wet will make their Rewind Festival debut on the Sunday before the ending the night with a fantastic firework display.
