Storm Ciara has arrived and is already causing travel disruption in parts of Scotland.
Motorists are being urged to take care when travelling while those using public transport are being warned to expect delays.
A yellow weather warning is in place for the whole of the UK. Up to 80mph gusts have been forecasted.
Strong winds began to batter the country throughout the day on Saturday ahead of the storm arriving, with the Western Isles recording the top gusts so far.
Bear Scotland has now issued the current wind speeds hitting some of the major roads.
On the A9 at Drumochter motorists are dealing with 55.5mph gusts while the Skye Bridge is being hit with speeds of 47.4mph.
