Perth will play host to a major new music festival this summer.
Party at The Park will take place on the South Inch over the weekend of June 27 and 28.
Music lovers will be able to enjoy live performances from The Charlatans, Embrace, Hot Dub Time Machine, Scouting For Girls, Gun, Tide Lines, Skerryvore, Toploader, Lightning Seeds, Be Charlotte and many more.
With more than 50 live performances, organisers are promising there will be something for everyone’s musical tastes. The festival will also feature a dedicated kids zone.
The team behind the festival have already been running a successful event in West Lothian – Party at The Palace (PATP) – and were keen to bring the award winning event north.
Peter Ferguson, PATP director, said: “We had been looking at sites across the country and Perth just offered so much in terms of location and accessibility as well as a very experienced team at P&K Council to help pull it together.”
“Our event in Linlithgow has a fantastic reputation of a safe, family-friendly festival that is just the right size. We limit our ticket sales purposefully to around 7,000 per day as it is not too big and not too small. We hope to replicate the success of our Linlithgow event in Perth and hope to establish them both as firm favourites in the summer events calendar.”
