A series of live services, readings and performances will be shown over the internet this weekend to mark Easter Sunday.
The Church of Scotland has organised for a range of videos to be played out online to mark one of the key dates in the Christian calendar.
Today, Moderator of the General Assembly Rt Rev Colin Sinclair will offer a pre-recorded reflection on the Church of Scotland Facebook page.
And this afternoon, theatre group Drama Kirk will broadcast their one-hour play The Passion of Jesus on the Hamilton Old Parish Church YouTube page from 3.15pm.
It will be repeated at 2.30pm on Easter Sunday with sign language interpretation.
Also on Sunday, Rt Rev Sinclair will deliver a video sermon and prayers from 7.30am through the church’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
The organisation is also calling for people to join together in prayer at 7pm on Easter Sunday, and will make a prayer in English and Gaelic available on its website ahead of time.
Liz Blackman, who produced The Passion of Jesus, said: “Those who join us will see a depiction of the final week of Jesus’ earthly life, from Bethany to the Resurrection.
“We had to make some cuts along the way as our large cast reduced in size but – thankfully – we are still able to share this important story.
“Our wish is that our performance would bring light and hope to many.
“We may be in our homes, but it is still Easter and we can still come together as a community and experience the gospel story afresh.”
