Police have named the 10-year-old boy who died following an incident in a Scottish loch.
Emergency services were called at 5:35pm on Wednesday following reports of a child getting into difficulty in Loch Lubnaig, near Callander.
He has been named as Michael Heeps, from High Valleyfield, Fife.
His family has paid tribute to Michael in a statement issued through the police. They said: “He was a much loved son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin x”
The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing, the force said.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
