A man was taken to hospital following a three-vehicle crash on the west coast which left others needing medical treatment.
Ambulance, fire and police teams were all called to the incident that happened shortly before 3pm on the A85 route at Pennyfuir north of Oban.
Two fire crews from Oban helped remove five casualties from the damaged vehicles.
Four of those people were checked by paramedics at the scene and one man was taken to Lorn and Islands Hospital in Oban.
The crash closed the road in both directions, causing long delays. Police advised drivers to avoid the area while investigations were taking place and the debris was cleared up.
A spokesman for the police said: “Around 2.55pm, officers were called to the A85 between Pennyfuir and Connel, following a crash involving three vehicles.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman said two ambulances were sent to the scene to tend to those injured.
