A man was arrested after rowing with his girlfriend – over the best way to cook a sausage.
Allan Campbell, 48, and his girlfriend argued over the best way to cook the meat.
Campbell had insisted the sausage should be pierced to allow to cook properly but his other half wanted to cut the banger in half and prepare it that way.
But as their row grew louder, alarmed neighbours called in police who raced to Campbell’s house in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, in August last year.
At Hamilton Sheriff Court, justice of the peace Anne Bernie admonished him and said: “Life is hard enough, especially if you cannot cook a sausage.”
