The area between Portsoy and MacDuff is subject to a SEPA flood warning following today’s bad weather.
Flood alerts are also in place for areas around the north and north-east, including Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Caithness and Sutherland, Easter Ross and the Great Glen, Findhorn, Nairn, Moray and Speyside, Orkney, and Shetland.
The Met Office has also issued weather warnings, with yellow warnings for wind in place across Grampian, the Highlands and Western Isles, and Orkney and Shetland
A further yellow warning for rain will come into effect across Grampian and the Highlands and Western Isles tomorrow.
Ferries around the country have been cancelled as a result of the severe weather, and many areas have experienced gusts of more than 75mph.
