The motorist had been travelling near Ballinluig, Perthshire, in a Vauxhall Corsa when he collided with a DAF lorry at a layby. The driver of the lorry was treated for shocked, but he was uninjured. The northbound carriageway of the A9 is still closed while police carry out an investigation at the scene. Local diversions are in place and motorists are being advised that delays are likely.
