A bumper bundle of sled-dog puppies named after the seven dwarves are looking for new homes.
Staff at the Scottish SPCA’s Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre took in the seven Alaskan Malamute-cross Bedlington terrier pup, along with their mum, since their owner was no longer able to look after them.
The youngsters named Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, Bashful, Sneezy, and Dopey are now eight-weeks-old and ready to be rehomed, as is their mother Nanook.
Centre manager Anna O’Donnell said: “It’s sad these lovely guys and girls have already spent some of their lives in kennels.
“We have two males and five females and would really like to find them all good homes where they’ll be happy.
“There’s no doubt we’ll receive lots of offers from people hoping to rehome them but we’d ask them to take a moment and think whether they have the time and resources to care for a dog for life.
“Our magnificent seven need owners with experience of large breed dogs and plenty of space as they will grow up to be large canines.”
And she urged people to look past the little bundles of fur and think about taking on their mum.
“Nanook is a nice, friendly girl aged three-years-old, who is also ready to find a new home with an experienced owner.
“She’s an active lass who is always looking for something to do and she would benefit from plenty of daily exercise. Nanook could potentially live with older children.”
