Unsettled weather will continue to affect the north throughout the week.
The warnings for high winds are in place until 6am on Thursday, when conditions are likely to ease.
However, snow is expected to follow in the wake of the stormy conditions from Friday into the weekend.
Met Office forecaster Laura Young said: “Thursday is likely to be calmer than Wednesday though it will still not be that nice across the Highlands, with wind and rain, though less severe than it will have been previously.
“A second feature coming later in the week is colder weather which will bring fairly widespread snow.
“It will actually be caused by a low pressure system mostly affecting England, with rain on the northern edge of this turning to snow in the colder air.
“Inverness is likely to be the most affected by this second weather front.”
