Rain and high winds will persist over the next two days with snow expected on grounds above 150m. The West Highlands is thought to be the worst hit, with several homes and schools already affected. Warnings have also been given to Grampian, Strathclyde, Central Tayside and Fife, South West Scotland, Lothian and the Scottish Borders. Commuters are advised to plan ahead.
