Shoppers and people at the scene of the bin lorry crash in Glasgow have taken to social media to express their shock.
Witnesses have described the whole George Square area being cordoned off as police, ambulance and fire services deal with the emergency.
One witness said he felt the “vibration” of the bin lorry as it crashed.
Many others said the accident was even more tragic given the time of year, and the fact it happened less than a year after the Clutha tragedy.
Pictures from the scene of the incident here.
Just literally felt the vibration of a bin lorry smash into a car while eating in George Square, horrible sight!

No Xmas lights on at home tonight. Doesn't feel right. It could've been any one of us in Glasgow today, that's how random it was. So sad.
