Police officers in riot gear, several police vehicles and at least one ambulance oversaw an eight hour ‘siege’ on Monday while those being held inside posted pictures on social media mocking the officers.
Officers were called to the property in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, at 1.30am on Monday following complaints their television was too loud, however, with the teenagers refusing the officers entry, a siege situation ensued.
18-year-old Kirsty Taylor, who was one of four friends in the property, posted a number of updates online, appearing to mock the police on the other side of the door, as revealed by the Alloa Advertiser.
Taylor posted a number of pictures on her Facebook page, including a ‘selfie’ showing the teenagers in the house with the riot gear clad officers outside.
The teenager described the police officers in riot gear as ‘daftys’ and said ‘you can knock but you can’t come in’
As the siege continued, one of the accused eventually left the property voluntarily at 6.30am, while the other three were arrested at around 9.45am – over eight hours after police first arrived at the scene.
The quartet appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court later the same day charged with threatening and abusive behaviour.
