The Met Office has warned more snow is to hit Scotland tomorrow, with forecasters predicting Aberdeen, Moray, the Highlands and Islands will all be hit.
The mercury is set to nosedive this evening, ushering in up to several inches of snow and frost in large parts of Scotland.
Temperatures are expected to drop below zero overnight and the Met Office has issued a yellow “be aware” warning for all of Scotland.
Forecasters are predicting 5-10cm at lower levels and over 10cm is expected in high ground in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
A Met Office warning said: “A cold front is expected to cross the UK during Wednesday.
“Very strong winds will accentuate the cold. Snow showers are likely in most areas, but especially the north west where significant accumulations are likely to build up, especially in hilly areas.”
As well as the snow and wind the Met Office are also warning we could be hit by hail and lightening.
Strong winds will push snow showers across Scotland during Wednesday and into Thursday. Ice, hail and lightning will be additional hazards.

While the cold weather is set to remain into early next week, Billy Payne of forecaster MeteoGroup said, it is unlikely the UK could see any impact of the heavy blizzards hitting much of the north-eastern coast of the US.
