Is this the face of Alex Salmond watching over the north-east of Scotland?

A picture of an unusual rock in Gardenstown, near Alex Salmond’s former Banff and Buchan constituency office, appears to show a rough (very rough) resemblance to the former First Minister.

The face in the cliff has been known to people living nearby for years – but only now has it come to the rest of the country’s attention.

Local community councillor Ron Beaty took the photo – although he believes the image looks like a troll coming out of the cliff face.
