A lucky Aberdeenshire resident has claimed a whopping lottery prize almost four months after the draw.

A lottery ticket bought in Scotland has won a huge multi-million pound jackpot.

The ticket, believed to be bought by a man from central Scotland matched all six numbers to scoop £7.8 million in Saturday’s Lotto draw.

The winning numbers were 04, 11, 27, 28, 30 and 49 and the bonus ball was 47, according to the National Lottery website.

The man, reportedly from Bo’ness, will celebrate his £7,864,529 win during an event at a luxury hotel later today.
