Two Aberdeen primary schools have won a prestigious Church of Scotland prize.
Middleton Park Primary School and Albyn School (upper school) were presented with the Stevenson Prize at the General Assembly yesterday.
It encourages excellence within the fields of religious education and religious observance, which is defined as community acts which aim to promote the spiritual development of the school community.
The news was welcomed by Aberdeen councillor Martin Greig, who is attending the Assembly as a representative of Holburn West Church.
“Both schools have carried out excellent educational projects to research the themes,” he said.
“I am delighted that the commitment of the young people has been recognised through this award.”
