Police were called to Prestonhill Quarry in Inverkeithing at 9:20pm on Thursday night following reports of a person in the water. Local reports suggest the teenager is 18-year-old John McKay. A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Inquiries are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding this incident.” In August 2014, 18-year-old Cameron Lancaster, from Burntisland, Fife, died at the quarry.
