A young festival goer who sent social media site, Twitter, wild after claiming he was trapped in a tent, has admitted it was all a joke.
Police Scotland and T in The Park stewards engaged in a frantic search and rescue operation following the Twitter message from Ayr man, Scott Johnston.
Police took his initial message seriously, replying: “ Hi Scott please tweet us with more info if you can. We have officers with stewards in the area looking for you now.”

Johnston, 23, later admitted to making the whole thing up after tweeting again.
It's okay everyone my friends unzipped me earlier never been so happy to see the rain

Johnston admitted to barely using Twitter, saying this tweet was only sent as a joke and, given his previous tweets, perhaps social media users shouldn’t have been surprised given the young man’s previous admissions on Twitter.
I'm a joke! I'm a show off and I crave attention… Why who's been talking about me?
