Police find body in search for missing man

Police in Fife have confirmed that a man’s body has been found in the search for 34-year-old Stuart McGovern.

The body was found in the Pitreavie area of Dunfermline around 12.50pm this afternoon.

A spokesperson said: “The identity is yet to be established however Stuart’s family have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.

“The circumstances surrounding the death are non-suspicious and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
