A major road which took weeks to fix has been left with a pothole after a workman left a glove sticking out of the asphalt.
It is understood that a bungling contractor dropped the garment while working on the thoroughfare at St John’s Road in Edinburgh.
The road had been partially closed for three weeks while the repairs were carried out, but has been left with a pothole due to the blunder.

West, was critical of the lack of attention from workers.
She said. “I don’t want to sound too heavy-handed about it but, honestly, this kind of casual lack of attention isn’t good enough.”
A council spokeswoman confirmed that the glove had now been removed from the road and that it will be inspected once the final work in the area had been completed
