A man has died after he was hit by a car on the slip road of a busy carriage way.
Police Scotland were called to the Kincardine slip road on the M9 following a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle at 11.15 yesterday (Thursday August 13).
The 54 year old male pedestrian was taken to the Forth Valley Hospital at Larbert where he died.
The M9 Eastbound and the M876 eastbound will remain closed for some time while collision investigations are completed.
Traffic is being diverted onto the M80 at Junction 9.
